First, welcome to mastodon!

Second:

There are no 'must-follow' 5k+ followers pages here, and if you're trying to become an account like that it almost certainly won't work because of the federated nature of the platform (and you'll get frustrated trying to make it happen)! This is a different space from instagram, and interaction tends to happen on a more one-to-one rather than one-to-many basis.

I've never seen an account with more than 1k followers, most are between 20 and 500.
